Too late for prophecies?
I only got factions, and its okay but theres a bit limit on the skills for my class, warrior. Most of the good skills are in prophecies for farming, etc. I also dislike the asian theme thing and the mobs are annoying, i think i beat all the 13 missions, so i guess i beat the game, sorta... Not really interested in the titles.
My questions are, is it too late for prophecies? I mean like GW2 should be in about a year, right? and is prophecies worth it? Can someone post some screenies of town or sumthing? |

Prophecies is alot of fun, and very different from Factions, when you get it, start a new character and try it out before you jump your main right to Lions Arch, pre searing Ascalon is really fun

Beta will be out sometime in '08, not the actual game, which at the moment is supposed to come out in '09. More than enough time to get your money worth out of prophecies.

Personally I played new characters from Factions as well as Nightfall and Prophecies, and I must say that Nightfall is 10x more fun than Prophecies. You get heroes, you get nicer enemies, (less annoying popup-scorpions too) you get WAY nicers environment, cooler professions AND a cool Sunspear rank system. You also level up much quicker and it's way newer. Compared to Nightfall, I think prophecies is pretty boring.

There is more then enough time to start with prophecies. Ive had it for about 8 months now (together with the other two and Eye of the North...oh and IMO prophecies is most fun and best by far) and Ive 'beaten' (There is never an ending really) the game with 3 prophecies characters......all worth it I'd say. Plus I feel that in prophecies there are much nicer farming spots than in factions. U could also of course get the prophecies skills for your existing character when u own prohecies.
Sorry, but I can't help you with the screens, I'm kinda an idiot when it comes to things other than reading/typing mail and playing a game |

To the OP: Its not too late, Prophecies is my favourite chapter, but it might feel _really_ slow in terms of character development. But hey, you have skill quests \o/ |

IMO, Prophecies is still the best value for money of all the campaigns. A long campaign with slower leveling than the later campaigns with plenty of area to cover and places to explore, whereas in Factions and Nightfall there was a lot less content outside the actual storyline locations.

Prophecies is still the original and best looking of all, and still a lot play...so never too late. Sure its not as heavily populated as it used to be, and you will have to hero some of it, but still, you cant miss it! Its still the best storyline too out of them all.
Get it You wont regret it. |

Best story, beautiful lands, amazing game. You REALLY need that game. It's like playing Final Fantasy X-2 and saying "This sucks. Should I bother buying FFX?" Only a Final Fantasy fan would get that. Especially if they've played both the games.

Prophecies is definately good to build up story line etc. Although its extremely slow moving its got some of the best looking characters components and a indepth story.
Never too late for Prophecies... Also make sure you dont get some fool spoiling the storyline for you...theres always someone in the mission that goes blabbering on... |

You'll still have time to complete all 3 games, get vanquisher, guardian and 30 maxed titles before GW2 is out. So no, you're not too late.
